Murphy at Law
Whatever can go wrong will go wrong. Most people have heard of Murphy’s Law and have even experienced it from time to time. Many of the jokes in Murphy at Law: The Power of Negative Thinking start with the premise “You might be a Murphy if…” It’s what you might expect if Jeff Foxworthy’s DNA ever got mixed up with Rodney Dangerfield’s.
Murphy at Law has a chapter on Maditations, things that Danny Murphy, as a Murphy who has embraced his Murf heritage, has wondered about. There’s a chapter on Murfisms, traditional sayings with a new Murf twist to them. And there’s a very special chapter titled Murphy Maximus in which Danny has added his counterpoints to much conventional wisdom.
“Negative thinking has gotten a bad rap,” Danny says. “The truth is that positive thinking is for wimps. Murphy at Law is unlike any other motivational book. My research indicates that Murphy’s Law must eventually apply to itself. You’ve heard of yin and yang. I call this phenomenon Murphy’s Yang. The final chapter of my book gives simple instructions on how readers can experience Murphy’s Yang for themselves.”
